LifeProof All-Protective iPad Case Tops 2012 Holiday Shopping List

LifeProof, the award-winning maker of all-protective, everyday cases for smartphones and tablets, announced today that Gifts.com has named the LifeProof nüüd case for iPad as top gift for the holiday season in the gadget category of the 2012 Giftee Awards competition. The LifeProof nüüd case for iPad, which currently sells for $99.99, is the only protective case manufactured for the Apple iPad that is water proof, dirt proof, snow proof and shock proof."The Giftee Awards address the most popular and trendy types of gifts that people will be shopping for during the holidays," said Gary Rayner, CEO of LifeProof. "We're honored to be on the top of Santa wish lists this year."The nüüd's unique design puts nothing between the user and the iPad's screen, allowing for unrestricted interaction with the screen while also providing full access to all functions, buttons and controls.
"The LifeProof nüüd case truly is an ideal gift for anyone on your holiday list," continued Rayner. "It blends coolness and practicality in a way that anyone with an iPad will appreciate and gives them the freedom to take their Apple iPad wherever life takes them. Because it's so slim and sleek, they'll want to take it absolutely everywhere."With more than eight million unique users per month, Gifts.com is the most visited gift recommendation site on the web. Winning gifts in this year's 10 categories were nominated and decided by votes resulting from 100,000 consumer visits to the award site. In addition to consumer nomination and voting, finalists were selected by a team of influential bloggers and highly qualified experts with years of experience in the retail, media and trend forecasting industries.
Earlier this year, Chicago sisters-in-law Lisa and Kaitlyn Fergus launched this online marketplace where visitors can buy, sell and swap clothing and accessories. It's also a forum where users can offer and ask for style advice. "We wanted to create an online community where fashion lovers worldwide could come together and communicate about their favorite hobby while browsing and buying items from their peers," Lisa Fergus said. The owners said they have hundreds of users and thousands of items for sale on the site.Open at 7 a.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. on weekends for breakfast, Reno also stays open until midnight or later. It's at 2607 N. Milwaukee Ave., next door to the Telegraph — and the same team is behind both establishments, as well as Webster's Wine Bar and the Bluebird. "Our goal is to give Logan Square a fun, casual place to hang out and enjoy excellent food at great prices," Reno's website says. The morning menu includes bagels, pastries and Stumptown coffee. Sandwiches and salads are available for lunch. And at night, Reno serves wood-fired pizza, fresh pasta, desserts, wines and beers. The team includes executive chef Johnny Anderes, chef du cuisine Elliot Green, pastry chef Katie Wyer, sommelier Jeremy Quinn, beer and liquor director Luke LeFiles, and partners Tom MacDonald, Janan Asfour, Jason Normann and Johnny Anderes.
